The Lyon Teacher Education Program provides wonderful preparation for those wishing to teach at the elementary or secondary level. A bachelors degree in biology also can be an excellent background for many jobs that require special scientific skills. Examples include positions such as research technicians, industrial microbiologists, environmental scientists, scientific supply sales, or pharmaceutical company representatives. However, a fine undergraduate education that stresses critical thinking, communication, and a well-developed work ethic, irrespective of the chosen major, can prepare one for a nearly limitless number of potential careers.
