Research Infrastructure.  Grants to faculty members for use as seed money for research, release time for proposal writing, use of specialized facilities, computer services, establishing research collaborations, etc.  Typically, a faculty member may receive only one RI grant, unless he/she is establishing a completely different research focus.  The exception to this rule is that RI funds may be used in conjunction with student grants for faculty travel to a NASA facility.  Faculty with RI grants must sponsor at least one student grant (below).

Student scholarships (undergraduate) and fellowships (graduate).  Typically, student grants are used to fund summer research, although it can be used at any time during the grant period.  Both faculty and student grants must include funds for travel to a NASA facility.

Guest lecturer grants.  Provide travel funds and honoraria for outstanding speakers to be invited to Arkansas.  Speakers must make presentations at two or more ASGC campuses during their visits.

Outreach (K-12) grants.  Provide funds for space education-related projects and activities that enhance and broaden the knowledge of both students and teachers.

Collaborative research program.  Seed money to establish research collaborations between faculty at two or more ASGC campuses.

Workforce development program.  Student fellowships (up to three years) and faculty grants (one year) are available to increase aerospace education in Arkansas.
