CURRENT NEWSLETTERS:

April 6, 2006:

Hello everyone!

I hope that this message finds you all well!  The chapter has been very busy since the last alumnae newsletter so I will try to sum it up in one sentence.  We had Spring Retreat, Big Sis/Lil Sis week, initiated 10 new sisters, held our 3rd annual Mother-Daughter Tea, and planned 3 philanthropy events that are coming up soon! We have been going non-stop!!

This Friday, the 7th, we are having a charity concert here at Lyon called Kicks After Six. Four local bands are coming and all proceeds go to charity.
This Sunday, the 9th, we will be having our 2nd annual Easter Egg Hunt which is free and open to the entire Batesville community. So if you live nearby, and have children, come to Lyon at noon and join in the fun!
Lastly, we are preparing for the 27th annual Scottish Festival. We plan to raise money for charity by having a drink booth where we will sell coffee, water, and possibly Scottish tea and a food booth where we will be selling chili dogs. If you are able to attend Scottish Fest stop by our booth and say hi!

If you would like to order this year's Bid Day shirt they are hot pick and cost $16 (that includes the shipping cost). They are short-sleeved and we have all sizes. You can place an order by e-mailing Alpha Xi or me.
Hope you have a wonderful Easter holiday and a lovely Spring season!

Xi love,
Peggy '06
Alumnae Relations Chair

February 5, 2006:

Hello everyone!

My name is Peggy Ford and I am the new Alumnae Relations Chair. I am a senior this year and I just finished serving as the Membership VP. I wanted to update on how our recruitment week went. Every party went great and now we have 10 new sisters!!! We got a great group of girls that are all truly excited and proud to be an Alpha Xi. I want to thank any of you that came and helped during the week, sent cards or flowers, or called sisters wishing us good luck. All of your support is greatly appreciated.
Events coming up this month are big sis/lil sis week and we are in the works of having a reading day where we are going to read the book that was developed from the Alpha Xi Delta Choose Children Book Project to pre-schoolers. The author and illustrator are Alpha Xi Deltas so we think it would be really neat to go be with the kids and share this wonderful book.
This semester I am going to work on a survey for you all to fill out (I'm a Psychology major) that will hopefully help me and those that come after me know what you as an alum want from your chapter and what you think you could help us with. So be watching for that and be willing to share your opinions!
Thank you so much and feel free to e-mail back with anything you need or just to say HI!

Fraternally,
Peggy Ford
Alumnae Relations Chair, Zeta Iota
