Zeta Iota Chapter

Almost thirty years have passed since the installation of the Zeta Iota chapter at Lyon College (formerly Arkansas College) into Alpha Xi Delta Fraternity on January 13, 1973. Since the fraternity's founding on April 17, 1893, at Lombard College in Galesburg, Illinois, its mission has always been to "provide the highest quality fraternal experience for her members."

Likewise, the Zeta Iota chapter endeavors to see this mission accomplished by providing its members with activities in a vast range of areas such as: academics, philanthropy, personal development, and social involvement. In the past 33 years, both the members of the Zeta Iota chapter and the chapter itself have experienced tremendous success, and have been rewarded with national fraternity and campus awards and scholarships for their contribution to Lyon College and the community of Batesville, Arkansas.

The Zeta Iota chapter prides itself in tradition and hosts a number of events throughout the academic year such as a Charity Golf Tournament, bi-annual American Red Cross blood drives, annual Easter Egg Hunt for the local community, and Charity Music Concert to benefit our national philanthropy: Choose Children and local charities as well.
