BATESVILLE, Ark. -- Lyon College forward Sarah Ruegger scored the game's only goal in a 1-0 triumph over William Woods during Wednesday's nonconference match at Huser Field.

Ruegger scored the game-winner in the 23rd minute on an assist from Aurora Alba. Ruegger's goal was her team-leading seventh of the season and her 17th point of the year.

Piper goalkeeper Rita Brown notched her first full shutout of the season, scoring a pair of saves in 90 minutes of play.

Lyon (6-5-1 overall) held a 16-3 advantage over William Woods in shots and notched seven shots on goal to William Woods' two.

The shutout victory was the Pipers' second straight and their third shutout win in the last four games.
