Ark. -- The Martin Methodist Lady RedHawks, NAIA's No.
7-ranked team in the country, managed four goals in a
4-0 shutout of the Lyon College Pipers Saturday in
TranSouth action at Huser Soccer Field.
Martin Methodist (7-4
overall, 4-0 in the TranSouth) got two goals in the
first half and another pair in the second en route to
its fourth consecutive TranSouth triumph this year.
The Lady RedHawks scored
in the 24th, 42nd, 54th and 60th minutes against Lyon
goal keeper Rita Brown, who saved six shots on the day.
Lyon drops to 4-5-1
overall and was shutout for the fourth time in five
losses. The Pipers sink to 1-2 inside the TranSouth.
