MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Sophomore Aurora Alba booted the only
goal of the game to help the Lyon College Pipers to a
1-0 victory over the Crichton Lady Comets Tuesday in the
TranSouth Conference opener for both teams.
Lyon College moves to 4-1 with the win and 1-0 in the
TranSouth. Crichton remains winless on the season at 0-5
and 0-1.
Pipers’ goalkeeper Stephanie Henderson (4-1-0) earned
her fourth victory of the season and her second shutout
of the year. The Lyon College keeper also recorded four
goal saves.
The Pipers netted 30 shots and had eight corner kicks.
