Cumberland forfeits
to Pipers

Citing a barrage of season-ending injuries, Cumberland University has forfeited their Sept. 29 TranSouth game with the Lyon College Pipers. 

The 1-0 forfeit pushes Lyon College's season-record school mark to 9-1 overall and 5-0 in the TranSouth.

Lyon's next match is scheduled for Saturday at noon against NAIA defending national champion Martin Methodist, in Pulaski, Tenn.

Going into Saturday's contest, Martin Methodist is ranked No. 1 in the current NAIA Top 25 Poll and sports a 7-0-0 record overall.
