Lyon College goalkeeper Stephanie
Henderson and defender Ashley Goheen added to the long
list of recognition awarded to the Pipers’ soccer team
when the pair was selected to the second-team NAIA
All-Region XI women's soccer squad.
Henderson started all 18 games in goal
for the Pipers and recorded single-season school records
in shutouts (8), victories (12), goals against (26) and
goals against average (1.480). The junior from Yuba
City, Calif., also was a first-team All-TranSouth
Conference selection.
Goheen, a junior from Manteca, Calif.,
was a first team All-TranSouth selection and combined
with Henderson as a key cogs in the Pipers’ vaunted
defense, which allowed only 26 goals in 18 games.
