JACKSON, Tenn. –
The NAIA's No. 1 team, the Union University Lady
Bulldogs, continued their unbeaten path of destruction
with a 76-52 win over the Lyon College Pipers Monday
evening in a TranSouth Conference affair.
Union improves to 13-0 overall and 2-0 in the TranSouth
with the win. Lyon ( 9-4, 0-2) has lost its last six
meetings with the Lady Bulldogs.
The Pipers got a game-high 18 points from freshman K.K.
Hodges, but saw seven Union players score eight or more
points. Lyon guard April Carter added eight points and
Ashley Waller had six.
Josephine Owino led the Lady Bulldogs' group of seven
with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Kaitlin Dudley added 13
and Meredith Jacobs and Zeinab Chan pitched in 10
apiece.
