BATESVILLE, Ark.
– Kaitlin Dudley scored 34 points and Josephine Owino
added 23 to lead the No. 1 Union University Lady
Bulldogs to a 91-75 win over the Lyon College Pipers
Monday in TranSouth Conference action.
Union remained undefeated this season, running its
record to 22-0 overall and 11-0 in conference games.
Lyon (14-8 overall and 5-5 in league play) was led by
April Carter with 24 points. Carter hit 8 of 11 shots
from the field and 8 of 9 from 3-point range. Maribeth
Waters added 15 points and a game-high 10 rebounds,
while teammate K.K. Hodges pitched in 15 points and nine
boards.
The Lady Bulldogs shot 58 percent from field-goal range,
50 percent from 3-point land and 72 percent from the
foul line. Meanwhile, the Pipers hit 43.8 percent from
the field, 59 percent from the arc and 60 percent from
the stripe.
