Four Pipers named to
TranSouth Scholar Athlete
Squad
BATESVILLE, Ark. -- Four Lyon College Pipers – April
Carter, Snezana Jovanovic, LeAnna Peerson and Rebeca
Whorton – have been selected to the 2007-08 TranSouth
Scholar Athlete team.
To be named to the TranSouth Scholar Athlete team, a
student-athlete must be at least a sophomore
(academically) and must carry at least a 3.0 grade-point
average.
The TranSouth Scholar Athlete selection was the second
straight for Jovanovic (Vienna, Austria) and the first
for Carter (Farmington, Ark.).
Peerson (Rogers, Ark.) and Whorton (Huntsville, Ark.)
each received the honor in the first year they were
eligible.
