NASHVILLE, Tenn. – K.K. Hodges of
Lyon College is the TranSouth Athletic Conference
Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week
ending January 27, 2008, according to a press release
from the league office.
Hodges, a 6-0 freshman forward
from Wynne, Ark., averaged 26 points and 10.5 rebounds
during a pair of road conference wins – including a win
at NAIA No. 4 Freed-Hardeman.
In the Pipers 69-68 win at No. 4
Freed-Hardeman University, Hodges scored 23 points while
grabbing 10 rebounds and added four assists, two blocks,
and two steals. She hit 6-of-9 from the field and
9-of-12 from the foul line. She scored 29 points and
added 11 rebounds in Lyon’s 73-59 win at Blue Mountain.
Hodges' selection marks the second
time that the freshman has won the award this season.
The forward from Wynne also has been named Lyon College
Athlete of the week for the second time this season.
