Lyon's seven-game
win streak
COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Lyon College Pipers' seven-game win
streak was snapped by the Columbia College (Mo.) Cougars
in an 83-74 nonconference decision Friday evening in the
Cougars vs. Cancer Classic.
Lyon (8-2) loses for the first time since a Nov. 8 home
loss to Philander Smith College at Becknell Gymnasium.
Columbia improves to 5-8 overall and breaks a two-game
losing string.
K.K. Hodges led the Pipers with a career-high 24 points
and grabbed seven rebounds. Guards April Carter and
Snezana Jovanovic added 16 points apiece. Piper forward
Maribeth Waters had eight points and eight boards.
Columbia received a team-high 18 points from Whitney
Whitman and 14 each from Megan Archuleta and Rachel
Oswald.
