CONWAY, Ark. –
The Lyon College Pipers won their seventh
straight on Friday night with an 82-50 triumph over the
Central Baptist College Mustangs in a nonconference
contest.
Lyon runs its record to 8-1 and continues
its best start in recent memory, with its only
loss coming at the hands of Philander Smith College on
Nov. 8.
Five Pipers earned double-digit scoring
nights, including junior Maribeth Waters, who led the
team with a game-high 18 points. Waters also turned in a
remarkable game on the defensive end, earning seven of
Lyon's 19 steals.

K.K. Hodges added 11 points, 11 rebounds and four
steals. Guard April Carter scored 15 points, LeAnna
Peerson pitched in 14 and Rebecca Horton had 12 points.
The Pipers shot 28 of 61 (45.9 percent) from the floor
and 11 of 23 (47.8 percent) from the 3-point line in the
victory.
