MUSKOGEE, Okla. –
The Lyon College Pipers recorded a 55-37
triumph over the Bacone College Lady Warriors Monday
night to earn their sixth consecutive victory.
Lyon improves to 7-1 this season and is
off to its best start in recent memory, with its only
loss coming at the hands of Philander Smith College on
Nov. 8.
Snezana Jovanovic collected a career-high
22 points, dished out three assists and had two steals
to lead the Pipers in the victory. Lyon junior Maribeth
Waters added a double-double with 12 points and 12
rebounds.
Lyon trailed most of the first half,
until a 12-2 run put the Pipers ahead 26-15 at the half.
Sicarra Farris paced the Lady Warriors
with 12 points and teammate Brittany Watson added 11.
