Whorton transfers to
Lyon College

Former North Arkansas Community College guard Rebeca Whorton has transferred to Lyon College to play women’s basketball for the 2007-08 season.

Whorton, a 5-6 guard, averaged 10.8 points per game as a sophomore at NorthArk and is set to enter the Pipers’ program as a junior.

Before NorthArk, Whorton played high school basketball at Huntsville and won second-team all-region honors in her senior year.
