Former University of
Arkansas at Little Rock forward Laura Throesch has
transferred to Lyon College to play women’s basketball
for the 2007-08 season.
Throesch, a 6-2 sophomore, played in 24 games for the
Trojans as a freshman in 2005-06 and played in 19 games
last season as a sophomore. She is set to enter Lyon as
a junior.
Before UALR, Throesch attended Pocahontas High School
where she averaged 18 points and eight rebounds per game
on a conference-championship team her senior year. She
was twice named an all-state player and was also
three-time all-region and all-conference selection while
at Pocahontas.
