BATESVILLE, Ark. – The Lyon College Pipers swept through
the Williams Baptist Lady Eagles with a 3-0 (30-23,
30-13 and 30-23) rout Tuesday in nonconference play.
Lyon, winners in eight of its last 10 matches, improves
to 12-8 this season. The Pipers' win avenged a 3-2 loss
to Williams Baptist on Sept. 6, at Walnut Ridge, Ark.
The Pipers have also won five of their last six matches
by 3-0 sweeps.
Piper middle blocker Katie Beineke was Lyon's kill
leader with 15 and had three solo blocks. Senior outside
hitter Daria Paunovic added 12 kills and six digs.
Junior libero Ann Sullivan led Lyon with 13 digs and
setter Jessica Sylvester added a team-high 18 assists.
