PULASKI, Tenn. --The Martin Methodist Lady RedHawks put an end to the Lyon College Pipers' three-game win streak with a 3-1 (30-23, 30-17, 26-30 and 30-23) victory Thursday evening in a TranSouth Conference contest.

Lyon (7-7 overall and 3-3 in the TranSouth) got a team-high 18 kills from senior outside hitter Daria Paunovic.

Paunovic's match total gives her 1208 career kills and moves her into a tie with former Piper Ceca Brckalo at No. 1 on Lyon's all-time kills list. The senior outside hitter from Pale, Bosnia also earned one solo block and two aces.

Katie Beineke, of Jonesboro, Ark., also notched double-digit kills for the Pipers with 11 and had one solo block and an assisted block.

Piper libero Ann Sullivan, also of Jonesboro, added 23 digs and two aces. Outside hitter Lauren Castleberry of Bono, Ark., accounted for 14 digs and setter Julie Arnold notched 21 assists and two aces.

Martin Methodist improves to 9-3 and 5-1 in league play.
