Lyon earns fourth
consecutive sweep in win
over Christian Brothers
BATESVILLE, Ark. – The Lyon College Pipers powered
through their fourth consecutive victorious sweep with a
3-0 (30-25, 30-28 and 32-28) triumph over Christian
Brothers University Thursday evening in nonconference
match at Becknell Gymnasium.
Lyon (11-7) is on quite a roll, winning seven of its
last eight matches -- including five of which were on
the road. Christian Brothers falls to 10-13.
Pipers' middle blocker Katie Beineke led a group of
three Pipers with double-digit kills with 16. Piper
outside hitter Lauren Castleberry added 15 kills, eight
digs and two aces and senior Daria Paunovic pitched in
13 kills, 11 digs, two solo blocks and six aces.
Setter Julie Arnold led Lyon with 25 assists and Ann
Sullivan topped all Pipers with 12 digs.
