**Castleberry, Laborn earn an all-conference honorable
mention nods**
BATESVILLE, Ark. –
Lyon College Pipers Daria Paunovic and Katie Beineke
were named First-Team 2007 All-TranSouth Conference on
Friday in an announcement by the league.
Lauren Castleberry and Meghann Laborn were also named to
the All-TranSouth Conference Honorable Mention squad.
Paunovic, a 5-11 senior outside hitter from Pale,
Bosnia, earned her third straight All-TranSouth
Conference honor, joining a first-team selection in 2005
and a second-team honor in 2006. The Lyon senior had a
team-high 394 kills in 2007 and finished the regular
season first on the school's all-time kills list with
1,444.
Beineke, a 6-2 sophomore middle blocker from Jonesboro,
Ark., notched her second all-conference selection,
joining a second-team nod in 2006. The Jonesboro product
was second on the Lyon College squad in kills (338), and
led the team solo blocks (38) and total blocks (62)
during the 2007 regular season.
Castleberry, a 5-10 sophomore outside hitter from Bono,
Ark., earned all-conference honorable mention for the
first time. The sophomore outside hitter finished the
regular season third on the team in kills (320) and
second on the team in digs (328).
Laborn, a 6-2 freshman middle blocker from Fort Smith,
Ark., notched 231 kills as a freshman and was second on
the team in blocks with 58.
