Coach Dee and Ashley
Ashley on why she chose
Lyon College: "I thought the campus was beautiful and I
loved all the people, especially my new teammates.
I also loved the coach and the science facilities on
campus".
Coach Dee: "I saw Ashley
two years ago when she was 16. I walked up to her
and handed her a packet on Lyon Volleyball. I told
her, 'I want you to play for me when you graduate'.
I never thought this day would ever come, but I am so
glad it has. She has been on campus a couple of
times and I just knew this was the place for her, and it
all just came together. Ashley has an explosive
swing and a great all around game. She will
compete with Daria (3 Time All TranSouth Conference OH)
and Lauren (2006 1st Team All-TranSouth Tournament) on
the outside. She will give us depth on offense and
ball control on defense. EVERYONE on campus is so
excited to welcome Ashley to the family and cannot wait
to get her on campus and start our quest for a TranSouth
Championship in 2007 and beyond."
