BATESVILLE, Ark. --
Mark Maxwell's clutch goal in the 79th minute gave the
Lyon College Scots a 2-1 triumph over the Williams
Baptist Eagles Tuesday in nonconference play at Huser
Field.
Russell Williams drew first blood for the Scots (6-9
overall) with a penalty kick goal in the 41st minute,
giving the home team a 1-0 advantage.
Williams Baptist fired back in the 54th minute to tie
the score at 1-1, but Maxwell provided the game-deciding
factor with his third goal of the season.

Callaway earned the win in goal for the Scots, saving
five shots.
Lyon
is scheduled to close its season on Thursday with a
make-up game against Delta State University.
