BATESVILLE, Ark. -- The NAIA's No. 25
Lambuth Eagles topped the Lyon College Scots 2-0
Saturday in a TranSouth Conference regular-season finale
for both teams at Huser Field.
The
Scots (5-10 overall and 3-6 in TranSouth play) finished
the conference slate in seventh place and miss the
conference tournament. By virtue of the win, Lambuth
(11-4, 8-1) clinches the top seed in the conference
tournament.
Lyon
goal keeper Matt Callaway played all 90 minutes in goal
and notched seven saves against two goals.
Lambuth scored in the 65th minute and provided an
insurance goal the 90th minute.
