Lions hand Scots TS loss

The Lyon College Scots had triple the number of shots on goal (9) as Freed-Hardeman’s Lions had (3) during Tuesday afternoon’s TranSouth Conference matchup. The Lions, however, were much more economical with their few chances, scoring two goals in a 2-0 triumph at Lyon Soccer Field to hand the Scots their first conference loss of the season.

Hobe Watkins and Drew Pyrtle each scored a goal for visiting Freed-Hardeman. Watkins’ goal came in the 31^st minute to break a 0-0 tie while Pyrtle’s came in the 62^nd minute.

The loss drops Lyon to 4-3-1 on the season and 2-1 in the TranSouth.

Freed-Hardeman improves to 4-5 and 1-0.
