BATESVILLE,
Ark. -- Lyon College Scots' forward Levi Taylor was
honored with a second-team, All-TranSouth Conference selection, according to a press release from the
league office.
Taylor, a
6-8 senior from Melbourne, Ark., averaged 15.8 points
per game and was seventh among TranSouth Conference
players in that category. The Lyon forward led his team
in scoring, rebounding (5.7 rpg) and was third in the
TranSouth in blocked shots at 1.26 per game.
He shot 46%
from the field, had a team-leading 36% from the 3-point
arc and shot a TranSouth Conference best 83.5% from the
free-throw line. Taylor notched two double-doubles this
season and scored a season-high 32 points against two
conference foes – vs. Mid-Continent on Jan. 12 and again
vs. Blue Mountain on Feb. 21.
The
Melbourne, Ark. product ended his colligate career at
Lyon with 1,274 points and finished No. 19 on the
school's all-time scoring list.
Taylor's
all-conference selection was his first in his four-year
career at Lyon.
