NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Lyon College Scots had a rough
go from the field in a 65-52 loss to the No. 15 Trevecca
Nazarene Trojans Saturday in a TranSouth Conference
matchup.
Lyon
(10-14, 4-10) hit just 18 of 53 shots from field-goal
range for a 33.9-percent clip. The Scots scored on only
4 of 18 3-point attempts for 22.2 percent. Lyon did have
a bright spot from the charity stripe, canning 12 of 13
for 92 percent.
Conversely, the Trojans were 21 of 45 (46.7%) from the
field, 7 of 17 (41.1%) from the arc and 16 of 23 from
the line.
Trey
Salley and Jonathan Donaldson headed up the Scots'
modest offense with 10 points apiece.
Collins Onyando led all scorers with 16 points and had
nine rebounds. Josh Helton earned 15 points in support
of Onyando's game-high total.
The
Scots' loss was their sixth in the last seven conference
games.
