JACKSON, Tenn. -- The Lambuth Eagles closed the regular
season in a big way, stopping the Lyon College Scots
101-67 Saturday in TranSouth Conference play.
Lyon
sinks to 13-17 overall and 7-13 in league play. The
Scots qualify for TranSouth Conference Tournament play
as the league's No. 8 seed. As a result, Lyon hosts a
first-round tournament game against No. 9 seed
Mid-Continent on Tuesday at Becknell Gym.
Lambuth, ranked No. 3 in NAIA Division I, improves to
26-3 and 18-2 in the TranSouth.
Levi
Taylor paced the Scots with 12 points, Quinn Cooper
added 11 and Charles Black accounted for 10.
Lambuth's Jeremy Weddle scored a game-high 22 points and
hit 6 of 7 3-point attempts.
