BATESVILLE,
Ark. – Sam Belcher, a 6-4 forward from Benton, Ark., has
signed a letter of intent to play basketball for Head
Coach Kevin Jenkins' Lyon College Scots.
Belcher was
named all-conference and made the all-state tournament
team in 2008 and averaged 13 points and nine rebounds
per game as a senior at Benton High School. He earned 19
double-doubles and helped lead Benton to the 6A State
Championship game for the first time in school history.
