BLUE MOUNTAIN, Miss. -- Four players put up
double-figure scoring outings to push the Lyon College
Scots to an 85-68 victory over the Blue Mountain Toppers
Thursday evening in TranSouth Conference road action.
Scots' forward Preston Butts notched his second
double-double of the season, picking up 14 points and 10
rebounds. The effort joined an 13-point, 11-rebound
performance against Williams Baptist on Nov. 13, 2007 of
this season.
Trey
Salley led the Scots in scoring with 19 points, Jonathan
Donaldson added 17 more and Charles Black had 12.
Lyon
(9-8 overall and 3-4 in TranSouth play) shot 53 percent
from the field by hitting 31 of 58 shots and scored on 7
of 14 shots from the 3-point arc. The Scots also
connected on 16 of 19 shots from the free-throw line for
an 84-percent clip.
Blue
Mountain, in its first year of men's basketball
competition in the TranSouth, drops to 0-17 and 0-7.

• Levi
Taylor scored eight points in the game, giving him 1,059
points for his career. He moves ahead of Jason Donaldson
(2002-06) for 24th on the Scots' career scoring list.
