Shooting woes kept the Lyon College Scots at arm's
length for most of the night in a 78-55 loss to the John
Brown University Golden Eagles Saturday in a
nonconference game.
Lyon shot 22-of-53 (41.5
percent) overall, 3-of-17 (17.6 percent) from the
3-point line and 8-of-17 (47.1 percent) from the charity
stripe.
Junior point guard Trey
Salley was the only Scot who scored in double figures,
collecting 18 points on 8-of-10 shooting from the field
and was 2-of-2 from the foul line.
JBU forward Cody Page
led all scorers with 28 points and added eight rebounds.
Guard Adam Workman pitched in a double-double with 16
points and 12 boards. Joel Tesis rounded out the Golden
Eagles with double-digit scoring nights, scoring 11
points and eight rebounds.
