LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Lyon
College sophomore Beau Palmer finished 12th in a 39-man
field and was the lead runner for a Scots team that
finished fifth out of five teams Saturday at the UALR
Open meet.
Palmer ran a time of
27:33.70 in the 8k run and earned 12 points for his Lyon
College squad.
UALR won the meet with 20
points and the University of Memphis was second with 66
points. Lyon College earned 115 points for its
fifth-place finish.
Scot harrier Daniel Haney
finished 18th with a time of 27:54.84.

38th – Josh Looney, 37:41.54
39 – Jon Hubbard, 42:08.77
The Pipers ran sixth out
of six teams in the women's division at the UALR Open,
led by Ellen Heimbach, who finished the meet in 25th
place.
Heimbach clocked a time
of 21:56.92 during the 5k run.
UALR earned the meet
championship with 29 points and the University of
Central Arkansas was second with 51 points. Lyon earned
148 points in the meet.
