MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- The
Lyon College Scots finished 29th out of 42 squads on
Saturday at the Memphis Twilight Cross Country Classic.
Lyon finished ahead of
several NCAA squads including Arkansas State University,
Tennessee-Martin and Nicholls State.
Scots' runner Beau Palmer
placed 95th among a field of 341 runners with a time of
26:41.55. Teammate Daniel Haney finished 128th and ran a
time of 27:08.00. Glenn Ritter was 195th and clocked in
at 28:24.31.
Other Scot finishers of note: 225th – Brandon Quam,
28:53.87
335th – Josh Looney, 38:12.44
341st – Jon Hubbard, 42:08.77
Women's Division
The Lyon College Pipers placed 41st out of 41 teams at
the meet, led by Emily Sexton. Sexton ran 229th out of
329 runners with a time of 22:22.15.
Lyon runner Amy Starnes
earned 248th place and finished with a time of 23:11.56.
Katee Castleman took 306th and ran a time of 26:36.31.
