Lyon College teams run
fifth, sixth at ATU

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. --  The Lyon College Scots cross country team placed fifth out of six teams at the Arkansas Tech Twilight run.

Lyon earned 124 points at the meet, 101 points behind meet champion UALR.

Daniel Haney was the highest Scot finisher, placing 14th with a time of 22:23.10. Beau Palmer placed 20th, running a time of 23:03.91.

Other finishers of note for Lyon were:

Brandon Quan in 24th (23:54.38) place, Alex Moeller in 33rd (26:20.98), Josh Looney placed 38th (30:06.65) and Josh Hubbard finished 45th (35:53.62).

The Pipers placed sixth out of seven teams, notching 152 points, 118 points behind top finisher UALR.

Sophomore Emily Sexton was Lyon's top runner, finishing 24th with a time of 13:57.15. Piper runner Ellan Meinback ran across the finish line in 28th with a time of 14:13.24.

Other finishers of note for Lyon were:

Kimi Brown in 37th (15:30.64), Amy Starnes in 38th (15:32.07), Katie Castleman in 41st (15:59.11), Anelisa Wood in 46th (19:01.27) and Lauren Jones in 47th (19:02.07).
