The Lyon College Scots
and Pipers cross-country teams are set to compete in the
Region XI Cross Country Meet on Saturday, Nov. 4, at
Louisville, Ky.
This season's highlights
have featured a three-medalist performance at the Orange
Crush meet in Conway and a Scots' victory in the host
Lyon Invitational.
Scot runner Beau Palmer
took second place in the men's event at the Crush and
teammate Daniel Haney placed 13th. Emily Sexton led the
Pipers at the meet with a sixth-place finish.
At the Lyon Invitational,
the Scots swept the top three spots and captured the
overall team title. Palmer won the individual crown,
Haney placed second and Glenn Ritter finished third.
Sexton earned a second-place finish in the women's
individual standings.

cross-country team are: Beau Palmer, Daniel Haney, Glenn
Ritter, Daniel Angel, Jonathan Palmer and Eric Stewart.
Members of the Pipers
cross-country team are: Emily Sexton, Brittany Young,
Rachel Rowe, Kimie Brown, Emily Wilson (student
assistant) and Monica Fuller.
