CONWAY -- Lyon College
runners Beau Palmer, Daniel Haney and Emily Sexton each
medaled at the Orange Crush cross country event in
Conway.
Palmer's second-place
finish and Haney's 13th place run in the men's event
helped the Scots finish third out of five teams. Palmer
ran a time of 28:17 in the 8K event while Haney was
timed at 29:52.
Other finishers of note
for the Scots were: Glenn Ritter placed 18th (30:41) and
Daniel Angel finished 46th (34:10).
Emily Sexton finished
sixth in the 5K women's division with a time of 20:52.
With only four athletes in the race, the Pipers did not
qualify to place in the team competition.
Other finishers of note
for the Pipers were: Brittany Young with an 80th place
finish (28:00); Monica Fuller in 96th place (30:57) and
Sarah Scott in 123rd (37:05).
