JACKSON,
Tenn. – Zac Wallace of Lyon College has been named the
TranSouth Conference Baseball Player of the Week for the
week ending March 23, according to a press release from
the league office.
Wallace, a
5-foot-11 sophomore outfielder from Prairie Grove, Ark.,
hit .565 with five runs, three doubles, two RBI and
recorded 13 hits in six games during the week. He posted
at least one hit in each game amd helped Lyon to a 4-2
week – including a double-header split with NCAA DII
West Florida, a victory over Spring Hill and two wins
over conference foe Martin Methodist. His best game was
a 5-for-5 day with three runs and a double versus Spring
Hill (Ala.) College on March 17.
Wallace is
currently riding an eight-game hitting streak and has
collected multi-hit games seven times this season.
