The Lyon College Scots managed just five hits in 1-0 and
5-0 TranSouth Conference losses to the No. 16 Trevecca
Nazarene Trojans Saturday at Scots Field.
The TranSouth-leading
Trojans (25-11 overall, 12-2 in conference play)
outscored the Scots 21-5 and swept the Scots in the
three-game series.
Lyon falls to 23-16
overall and 7-9 in TranSouth games.
Trojans pitching two-hit
the Scots in game one behind a complete-game shutout
from Wesley Griggs. Griggs (7-2) struck out five and
walked two.
Nick Shoup (7-1)
three-hit Lyon in game two and notched the Trojans'
second complete-game shutout of the day. Shoup whiffed
nine and walked five.
