BATESVILLE, Ark. --
The No. 16 Trevecca Nazarene Trojans pumped out 16 hits
-- including eight for extra bases -- in a 15-5
dismantling of the Lyon College Scots Friday in
TranSouth Conference action at Scots Field.
Lyon (23-14 overall, 7-7
in conference play) managed just six hits and struck out
12 times. Trevecca improves to 23-11 and 10-2. The
Trojans currently sit in sole possesion of first place
in the conference standings.

Dirheimer throttled the
Scots at the plate, going 4 for 5 with a homer, two
doubles and five RBIs. First baseman Cody Heggie also
drove in four runs with two hits -- a two-run single and
a two-run home run.
Trojans' starter Ben
Johnson (2-4) earned the win with a six-hit,
10-strikeout perfomance in 6 2/3 innings of work.
Justin McGarity (6-3)
took the loss for Lyon. McGarity lasted just three
innings, allowing seven runs (six earned) and walking
two.
