BATESVILLE, Ark. -- The
Lyon College Scots picked up 18 hits en route to a 14-5
dismantling of the Henderson State Reddies Tuesday
afternoon in nonconference play at Scots Field.
Lyon
College right fielder Zac Wallace collected four hits in
four at bats, stole a base and drove in two runs. Scots'
left fielder Kody Cox finished 2 for 2 with two RBIs.
Justin Brown and Nick D'Amico earned three hits apiece.
The
Scots move to 12-2 and are 2-0 against NCAA Division II
teams this season. Henderson State falls to 8-8 overall.
Sam
Neal (1-0) earned the start on the mound for Lyon and
struck out six in five innings of four-hit ball. He
walked one and allowed two earned runs.
Starter Ryan Scott suffered the loss for the Reddies on
the mound, allowing six earned runs in four innings of
work.
HSU's
Jeremy Sauceda had three hits and one RBI for the
visitors.
