-- Justin McGarity pitched a three-hit shutout and the
Lyon College Scots collected 13 hits in a 9-0 shutout of
the Crichton Comets Saturday at Gagliano Field.
McGarity (4-1) threw seven innings, didn't walk a batter
and struck out eight to earn the victory. The shutout
was McGarity's third career shutout in a Lyon uniform
and his second this season.
Lyon College's Justin Brown, Sam Neal and Drew Kellums
had two hits each and drove in two runs apiece. Neal hit
his first home run of the season, a two-run shot. Josiah
Hass also had two RBIs for the Scots.
The Scots improve to 13-3 this season and are 1-1 in the
TranSouth Conference.
