Former Lyon College first baseman Andy Bettis has signed
with the River City Rascals of the Frontier League.
The Jonesboro, Ark. product has played in four games and
is currently hitting .588 with three doubles, a home run
and six RBIs. Bettis, a two-time NAIA All-American, holds Lyon College's all-time records
for career home runs (53), career hits (260) and also
owns the single-season mark for homers (18).
The Frontier League is a twelve-team independent
professional baseball league with franchises in
Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio,
