Scots earn
sixth-place
finish at William Woods Invitational
FULTON, Mo. -- The Lyon College Scots
shot a 622 and placed sixth in a nine-team field at the
William Woods Invitational.
Christopher Campbell was the top Scot finisher in the
two-day, par 72 tournament and tied for 21st. Campbell
shot a 77 on day one and followed up with a 76 on day
two for a 9-over par finish.
Matthew Cromer tied for 23rd place, shooting a 154,
10-over par. Seth Johnson finished tied for 30th with a
157, 13-over. Brock Bullard (159, 15-over) placed 34th
and Nathan Duncan tied for 39th (161, 17-over).
Women's Golf
The Pipers had to withdraw from the team competition due
to an illness to one of its team members.
Charli Steed earned the distinction of the highest
finishing Piper on the course and shot a two-day 174 at
30-over par for a 20th-place tie.
Diedra Brauburger carded a 183, 39-over par in 26th
place and Chelsea Wilson earned a 214 (70-over) for a
39th-place tie.
Jennifer Flegel, who scored a 90 on day one, had to
withdraw on day two with an illness.
