SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. -- The
Lyon College Scots finished 11th in a 13-team
field Monday at the NAIA Region XI Golf Tournament at
The Legacy Country Club.
Lyon shot 1023 as a team
during the three-round tournament and finished 47 shots
behind ninth-place finishers Trevecca Nazarene and
Lambuth University. Campbellsville University won the
event with an 886.
Christopher Campbell was
the top Lyon finisher, tied for 29th place
with five other golfers. Campbell shot a 28-over par,
recording rounds of 83, 78 and 80 on the par 71,
6776-yard course.
Lyon’s Seth Johnson tied
for 37th with one golfer, shooting 30-over
par with rounds of 79, 79 and 85. Nathan Duncan tied for
39th place with a 31-over and Glenn Ritter
placed 63rd with an 82-over.
