Pipers fifth, Scots

Lyon College Classic
BATESVILLE, Ark. --
The Lyon College Pipers earned fifth place in the
women's division and the Scots placed 10th in men's
division play during a rain-shortened Lyon College
Golf Classic at The Course at Eagle Mountain.
The
Pipers shot 434 as a team, while the Scots carded a 353.
Indian Hills
won the men's tournament with a day one 301. William
Woods took the championship in the women's field with a first-round score
of 347.
Diedra
Brauburger was the top Piper finisher,
carding a first-round 96 for 14th place. Chris Campbell
led the Scots with a 79 and was tied for
14th with eight other golfers.
Leanne
Cressig won the women's individual scoring title with an 81. Evangel University's Lindsay Hull
took second place with an 85 and Emily Muse finished third with an 86.
William
Wood's Mark Burleson took the men's championship with a 71. Indian Hills' Nate Smith
earned second with a score of 73 and teammate Steven McGlynn
shot a 74 for third.
