Information for Applicants

We had many good submissions this year and in the spirit of celebrating student accomplishment here at Lyon, we are requesting that you all prepare a “poster” presentation for an Open House night on Monday, April 8 from 7-9pm in the Bevens Music Room.  Judges and other members of the Lyon community will be able to view your presentation individually throughout the night, and at 8:45pm winners (first and second place) in the research and creative arts categories will be announced.  If you are selected as a winner, you will be asked to give a very brief summary of your work to the general audience so please prepare for that appropriately.     

A poster may not be the best form of presentation for some of your work so you are invited to present in any format you think is appropriate.  Some possible forms other than a poster could be a slide show, a live performance, or video/audio recording.  Please let me know any Audio/Visual needs you will have as soon as possible so I can make the appropriate arrangements.  You are welcome to include additional projects in your presentation but will only be judged on the one originally submitted.  

We appreciate all the work you put into your submission and hope this forum will provide you an opportunity to show off your hard work to a larger audience.  We encourage you to invite your friends and family to come anytime during the Open House hours.  You should consider this a formal presentation and dress appropriately.
