Holmes, originally form Oklahoma City, Okla., enters his 16th year as Lyon College's assistant coach.
Holmes played collegiate baseball at St. Mary of the Plains College in Kansas and summer ball in Topeka, Kan. and Oklahoma City.
Before Lyon, Holmes coached Elkhart, Kan. of the Jayhawk League.
He is married to Michelle, a 1998 graduate of Lyon College.
