Financial aid information Have you returned your award letter from financial aid yet accepting your aid for 2008-09? If not, please sign your award letter, retain a copy for your file, and return the original to the financial aid office at Lyon College. If you haven't filed your FAFSA for 2008-09, go to www.fafsa.ed.gov and complete it. You and a parent will also need a pin number to electronically sign the FAFSA. Determining eligibility for federal programs • Any students applying for Arkansas funded scholarships need to go to www.arkansashighered.com to apply. The Arkansas Academic Challenge application as well as the Governor's Scholarship are both located at this website as well as the new GO Grant. You must file a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Assistance) to qualify for these scholarships.• Have you filed your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Assistance) yet? In order to qualify for any federal grants or loans, you must file a FAFSA with you and your parents 2007 income tax information. Most grant money is based on a "first come- first serve" basis and the FAFSA must be filed to qualify.
