Dr. Beckford joined the Lyon faculty in 2001. He has served as faculty advisor to the student chapter of the American Chemical Society, vice president of the Faculty Assembly, and as chair of the Curriculum Committee. He also serves as a soccer referee for both high school and the Independence County Youth Athletic Association. He currently serves on the Athletic Committee.
